All Its Creatures

I would like to acknowledge the Dharawal people as the

traditional custodians of the land on which I live and created

this project. I also acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation on which I study and was guided in the creation of this work. I show my respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging whose lands on which I walk, and acknowledge any First Nations people engaging with this work.

I would also like to acknowledge Aunty Rhonda Dixon Grovenor as a Gadigal, Yuin, Dharug, Dharawal Elder, academic and Traditional Saltwater Knowledge Holder, for inviting us to participate in this project and guiding us through what it means to design for Climate Justice on Country. I extend this acknowledgement to Nadeena Dixon, a Wiradjuri, Yuin, Gadigal artist; and Uncle Jimmy Smith, a Wiradjuri educator and cultural practitioner.

I am passionate about the protection of native species and recognise that it is through engaging with Indigenous knowledge that we will find ways to combat rising rates of extinction and habitat destruction. Connection to Country and understanding the relationships between people, the land, and all its creatures will allow us to face the climate struggles defining our world today.
